SUMMARY:Wholeness Collective: Free Music Classes for Children
DESCRIPTION:Metro Music Makers will provide free music classes for children in Duluth. Each class will be a 60-minute session and include activities such as singing\, dancing\, and instrument playing to encourage positive social interactions and self-expression. \n\nClasses for children ages 2 to 5 years old will take place on November 5\, 12\, and 19\, from 10:00-11:00 am\nClasses for children ages 6 to 11 years old will take place on October 24 and November 7\, from 4:30-5:30 pm\n\nClasses will be taught by Allison Jarrell\, founder of Metro Music Makers at a secure office location in Duluth\, Georgia. By the end of this workshop\, participants will: \n\nIdentify protective factors currently being used or those that will be implemented;\nIdentify one prevention process/program that represents each prevention strategy;\nIdentify risk factors;\nDetermine what works in prevention;\nDefine prevention strategies; and\nOutline historical timeline of prevention\n\nThis course occurs in two parts on Tuesday\, October 18 and Thursday\, October 20 from 10 am – 4 pm. Registrant must attend both days of webinars in order to receive credit. \nThis is one of four core courses required by the Prevention Credentialing Consortium of Georgia (PCCG) in order to earn your prevention credentials. \nRegistration for this course closes at 5 pm EST on October 11\, 2022.
